July Double MARRS - Sandi Kryder

The event went very well. We had 125 drivers.  Certainly more than our National.  There was only one major incident on Sunday in which a DC driver had to be transported to the hospital after he flipped under the bridge.  I am happy to report thathe is okay.  His comments are below.

The MARRS drivers all seemed to have a good time and said they would like to return in 2009.

Thank you from Scott Lawrence, #97 FC

Mahoning Valley Region workers & all,

I wanted to express my appreciation and to let you know that I value each and every volunteer that helps you put on your events.  I was driving the #97 FC in the group 7 race this past weekend for the Double MARRS.  I truly believe that if it wasn't for the excellent volunteers and the medical team on hand things wouldn't have gone as well as they did after my accident on Sunday. Having the presence of mind to red flag the race immediately took myself and others out of further harms way. Your region put on a first class event right from the start with the coordination and the steak dinner, not to mention how the whole weekend flowed together for the coordination nightmare of a Double event. Being from another region it was a comfort to know that a group of high quality and well trained volunteers (that I wasn't personally familiar with) were on hand and that lept into action and performed as a well oiled machine when needed. I would also like to thank each and every person that assisted in loading my car after the accident while I was at the hospital, I don't know each and every person's name to thank them personally but would appreciate it if you could pass on my gratitude.

I can't say it enough but Thank You again for everything and please pass on to everyone in your region those that were and weren't at the track that I send my deepest appreciation and hold the Mahoning Valley Region in the highest regard.  If the workers have a main email address let me know as I'd like to send them a Thank You as well.
